Privacy policy
LevelCrew (getlevelcrew.com) is software that helps Florida builders keep track of their subcontractors' insurance, W-9s and licenses, and helps subcontractors keep that paperwork current and meet Florida lien deadlines. It is operated by OBO LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("OBO LLC", "we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only as a hash by our sign-in provider), your role, and the company you belong to.
- Company details: legal name, address, phone, trade, license numbers, and the requirements a builder sets for its subs.
- Documents you or someone working with you upload: certificates of insurance, W-9 forms (which include a taxpayer identification number, sometimes a Social Security number), contractor licenses, workers' compensation exemptions, contracts, notices and lien waivers, and the details read from them.
- Contact details of other people: a builder may add a subcontractor's name, email address and phone number, and a subcontractor may add details of the builders and owners on their jobs.
- Jobs and payments: job addresses, dates and amounts used to compute lien deadlines and prepare documents.
- Sign-in and security records: the browsers you have signed in from, one-time sign-in codes, and a log of important actions (for example, who verified a document or sent a request).
- Waitlist sign-ups: what you enter on our homepage form.
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember a browser you have trusted. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies or tracking pixels.
How we use it
- To run the service: show a builder whether each sub meets its requirements, remind you before documents and deadlines expire, send document requests, and prepare Florida notices and waivers.
- To send you service emails and, if you opt in, text messages (see Text message terms).
- To keep accounts secure and to investigate misuse.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your documents to advertise to you.
Who can see your information
- Your company's team in LevelCrew.
- Builders you work for. When a subcontractor uploads documents through a builder's request link, or shares their package, that builder sees them. A subcontractor's W-9 is shared with a builder only when the sub sends it to that builder or adds it to that builder's share link.
- An insurance agent, only if you ask. If a subcontractor asks for an insurance quote, we send the agent the contact details and the insurance requirements the sub agreed to share. The agent is independent of us.
- Service providers that process data for us under contract, only to run LevelCrew:
- Supabase (database, sign-in, document storage)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Anthropic (reads uploaded documents to suggest the fields you then confirm; not used to train its models)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Twilio (text message delivery, once texting is available)
- Google and Microsoft, only if you choose to sign in with them or import files from Google Drive, SharePoint or OneDrive
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.
- A buyer of the business, if OBO LLC or LevelCrew is sold, under this policy.
Mobile numbers and text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the providers that deliver our messages.
How we protect it
Every company's data is separated in the database so one company cannot read another's. Documents are stored in private storage and handed out only to people allowed to see them, through links that expire. Connections are encrypted, and signing in from a new browser requires a code sent to your email. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your company's account is open. When you ask us to delete your account or company, we delete its documents and personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law or to resolve a dispute. Copies in backups are overwritten on the backup schedule. A builder's copy of documents a sub sent to that builder belongs to the builder's records.
Your choices
- See and correct your information in the app, or ask us for a copy.
- Ask us to delete your account, your company, or a document.
- Turn off email alerts in Settings, and stop texts at any time by replying STOP.
Email hello@getlevelcrew.com from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days.
Children
LevelCrew is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account owners before the change takes effect.
